First blog for the year - in March

Wow - it is March already and there is no post on the blog! The photo is from our weekend away in Avoca, which Steph got me for my birthday. We had a great time away and both had a massage. Meanwhile, we are looking forward to our trip to Europe in exactly 8 weeks. We are going to London for a few days, followed by Paris, through France to Spain, finishing in Madrid. We are excited about seeing some friends not seen for a while and a photography course we booked in Paris. It is a full day with a professional photographer and it is a private tour - how cool!

Is it nearly Christmas?

Wow - it is nearly Christmas - again! The year has flown by so quickly, as it does every year. I have been really organised and done my Christmas shopping early this year. Mind you, the Christmas tree is not up yet (hopefully this weekend) and the Christmas cards are not done. We have had a great year, and are looking forward to 2010. There are many changes on the cards, so it is sure to be interesting.

Recent travels

In May, Steph and I went to Japan. We flew in to Tokyo, and made our way around on the highly-efficient trains. If only we could have such efficient public transport here! We saw temples, shrines and castles. Unfortunately, we missed out on the cherry blossoms, although we did see a few trees still in bloom...
Japan is a photographer's paradise, so Steph and I took hundreds of photos - too many to post here. Check out our Facebook pages for more photos.

Long time, no blog

What is the point of having a blog without blogging? It has been ages since my last post. Since then, I have changed jobs (been at my new job for 4 months now), summer has been and gone and we have been to 3 weddings. Even more unbelievably, tomorrow is April and in 3 weeks we will be celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary.

In late October, Steph and I went to Vanuatu, which was something different. It was humid and showery every day, but it was good to get away. In about 5 weeks, we are off to Japan and Hong Kong, which will be my first trip to Asia (not counting visiting airports in transit).

Meanwhile, it is pouring with rain outside. Now I know it is good to have rain now and then, but why do we have to have such torrential downpours for days on end?

3 weeks on...

I've just finished my third week at Brother International and so far so good. It's been hectic but the days go faster. I'm getting to know a lot more people now and I don't feel like a fish out of water.

New girl on the block

I started my new job today at Brother International and it was a good day. The people are very nice and I started on the right day because they had their monthly bbq. I'll be doing similar tasks to what I was doing at Laser. There are a lot of people so it's going to take a while to remember names.
